Favorite line in the movie?

My favorie line from this movie is when Grace is asked who the best male singer/dead is and she says Dean Martin.

That is my answer too. Dead or Alive

For me there's too many to say, but the one that sticks out at the top of my head is when Joe says, "Aw Christ--who died?" Gets me all the time.

"If se-sexy never left, then why's everybody on my shi-it-it?"-J. Timberlake

(after bowling a strike)
"Where have you gone Joe Dimaggio? I'm right here!!! I'M RIGHT HERE!!!!!"

Robert Loggia is awesome.

Favorite line??? Where do you begin? This movie is full of great lines

"I have never said 'hell' you son of a bitch."

"Hairy legs are your only link to reality."

JOE: "I've already told him she's had some work done."
MEGAN: "Oh Joe, she's not a Buick."

"If those tulips you planted last spring come up, and see only me standing there, they'll certainly go back into the ground again."

SOPHIE (looking at the plane ticket): (crying) oh, it's so beautiful."

AND THE BEST LINE IN THE ENTIRE FILM:

"All the times I prayed that Gracie would have a second chance at life, I always knew that if God blessed us, the heart she got would have to be from a very special person, if it were going to be at home in Grace. When she met you, her heart beat truly for the first time. Perhaps it was meant to be with you always."

I'll be right back I think I have something in my eye...

Thank you! I'm here all week!

My favorite line is when Bonnie is talking with Minnie about her relationship with men while "Grace" is lying in her hospital bed awaiting an operation; Grace replies, "I'm getting a new heart not a new ass!" Teehee

I liked the line when Grace and Bonnie Hunt were in Grace's hospital room near the beginning of the movie. Bonnie was doing a Cosmo quiz. She read the question, which went something like..."Which is most important in a relationship? S ex or personality. Then she said, "Sex is, but let's choose "personality" to get more points."

Ha!! Those quizzes are so predictable!!!

reply

When the hair guy asks the other man to touch his hair,

"I don't touch men."
"It's women's hair..."

Ha!

and...

"You had sex dream about me?!"
"No, I didn't have a sex dream about you, I don't even know you, I just met you!"

actually, that whole exchange is a favorite, but that part in particular.

then my absolute favorite

"I thought you were going to say you used to be a man or something!"

The exchange betwen Joe and Megan, something about where rhythm got them, always makes me smile :-)

Had to come back to this thread-- Oh my god, honestly that line about women's hair was hilarious then and it continues to be no matter where I am, when I think of it and when I repeat it, I burst out laughing.

Well that's not my favorite line and I do really like Dean Martin but in my opinion Frank Sinatra has a better voice.

Edit: one of my favorite lines that no one has mentioned is when joe is trying to get his daughter to stop playing the piano
Joe: Would you stop playing the piano?... Megan.
Megan: what? I'm not playing it.

Watch CHUCK Monday nights at 8/7c on NBC.

"Grace has Bob's dead wife's heart."

When Bonnie Hunt yells at Robert Loggia for giving her kids wine to calm them down, and he tells her "now they can be drunk and disorderly." Classic.

MARTY'S GOT HIM IN A CHOKEHOLD!!!

I love this movie it has so many great lines, particularly between the four old guys and between Bonnie Hunt and John Belushi.

"I don't know if I can... I don't know if she can-" "She CAN!"

"Will everyone just calm down for the love of God and all that is holy! Calm down! For Christ sake, he's just a man!"
