John Carpenters Vampires OR The Lost Boys?

Ok, two vampire movies that put a completely new twist on the genre...Which one is better? I like them both just the same.

I wouldn't really say this movie put a "whole new twist" on the vampire thing . . .

Meeting the dudes, charming the ladies, slaying the undead. College is awesome. http://www.myspace.com/jessechadwickhunter

I would have to go with the Lost Boys. Granted my opinion may be shaded by the fact that Lost Boys has a whole lot more eye candy. I mean Keifer, Billy Wirth, Brook, and Jason are very nice to look at while Vampires only has Thomas Ian Griffith.

I just think Lost Boys is better made and a better story. Though I don’t discount Vampires at all. I love the movie and watch it all the time on DVD.

The Lost Boys is a way better movie, but this movie has some great imagery.

Where are all the good men dead, in the heart or in the head?

Vampires is good but Lost Boys is better. James Woods is one of my favorite actors but he is a little let down by the story. Lost Boys has the horror, it has the comedy, the action, Jack Bauer and Mr Merlin(in a kick-ass role). What more do you want?

I really liked Vampires, but the Lost Boys hold a special place in my heart. It was the first vampire movie I ever watched when I was a kid and sprouted my love for vampire tales.

I loved Lost Boys as a kid and still as an adult but I have to say that James Woods was amazing...for some reason, I found him so sexy in this movie! I love his type of comedy, plus he just looked yummy in those tight jeans with that leather jacket...I know he's older but still, he made the movie for me! Plus any man that can slay a vampire like that, well...hehe

Well, vampires is funny and humourus and the lost boys is a timeless classic so i guess they are just as good as one another.
