A very good film
Truly a masterpiece, literally cried watching it
"Faith is a torment. It is like loving someone who is out there in the darkness but never appears, no matter how loudly you call."

It has a few glaring issues that frustratingly hold it back from ‘masterpiece’ status:

I personally loved it
shareYeah, it was good...
But a masterpiece??
Nah.
Masterpiece - well.....
"The Godfather"
"The Godfather Part 2"
"The Shawshank Redemption"
Plus an out of the box choice. This one, I watched it a couple weeks ago - it's superb. A sweeping epic. I'm surprised it never caught on like Shawshank did.
The 1998 version of
"Les Miserables"
with Liam Neeson and Geoffrey Rush
ANyway, IMO, "The Green Mile" isn't up to this level.

Yeah, all of that.
Plus, in fact, I'm thinking of it right now - it was kind of boring.
One could take another look to be sure, but actually, no desire, LOL.
Plus, on a personal note, one doesn't care for the fantasy type of movies.
Love it as well.
