The Casting was far better. The tone was far closer to the comics. Frankly think the biggest weak spot was the script. But even that was nowhere as bad as the reboot. I still give this movie a 6 (maybe a 7). Compared to 1 i gave the reboot. 2005 version is still entertaining, even tho there are parts that make no sense. But the whole 2015 reboot make no sense.
shareIt's true, I remember watching this and reading the book, and then when I saw previews for the "reboot," I wasn't impressed, and heard it was a huge flop, despite having a new story and being as PC as possible with the cast. They really never learn from their mistakes in Hollywood.

shareI think one of the problems this movie, its sequel, and some other “cartoony” superhero movies that came out around the same time (eg Spider-Man 3) is that audiences were ready to move on to more “serious” superhero movies like The Dark Knight.
