How did the angels...

Purchase guns? I guess it's left to our imagination, but when you purchase a firearm they take a LOT of information and back it up with a very detailed background check. How could any of that be provided for the angels.

That's your problem, welcome to Philly.

God didn't strip their powers, she just banished them to Earth. How do you think Loki got the Nun to give up her faith? They had powers of persuasion.

Kind of like the Jedi Mind Trick....."these aren't the droids you are looking for"....

I have another thought in the same vain of this and that's how did they provide for themselves? Like afford a place to live for many years, buy food and what not...

I imagine after eons on Earth, they became pretty good at establishing false identities.

They applied for and received food stamps and welfare and lived in the projects like the other illegal aliens, how else.

They never showed them purchasing anything.

Remember the gunstore scene in Terminator?

Think you left out some words: "... when you purchase a firearm legally, from a licensed dealer they take a LOT of information and back it up with a very detailed background check." In the real world, somehow a lot of convicted felons manage to get their hands on guns, even though purchase, possession, and (probably) sale are all illegal. The angels could have stolen the guns, possibly killing the former owners. Maybe the angels even Did Good by taking the guns away from Evil People.

If I understand correctly, people can buy guns at gun shows without background checks.
It may be changing but that was the case in 1999.

They've been living on earth for more than 1000 years. I think they would have secured assumed identities by then.
