I completely agree. I was eleven years old when the film first came out, and I was thrilled when I saw it in theaters. It's been a go-to for myself, my family and some of my friends ever since whenever we wanna watch something silly and fun to lighten the day.
And it's always an incredibly easy and enjoyable watch that never gets old. In the 15+ years since it was first released, I wouldn't be exaggerating to say I've probably seen it well over 50 times easily... Probably way more.
I've actually since ended up purchasing it whenever it gets a new release on any new home media formats. Owned the VHS tape (in fact I still think that old tape is laying around somewhere), the standard Special Edition DVD, the 2-Disc Ultimate Edition DVD, the standard Blu-Ray and I recently re-bought the film in a 2-Disc DVD/Blu-Ray combo. (It was one of those nice steelbook releases Universal released a year or two back of a lot of their action/comedy films that have comic-book inspired artwork.)
I also very much adore the second film and the first Scorpion King spin-off. And I'm one of the few people who didn't think Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was all that bad (worst of the three for sure, but not the attrocity against cinema it's made out to be), so at least once a year now I tend to have days where I'll marathon the trilogy with friends or family.
And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?
