Do you prefer the first half or the second half?

This has to be one of the few movies that has distinct two halves. The first 90 minutes is a "docu"-drama and romance film. The last 90 minutes is a thrilling and rather tragic disaster flick.

I have to be one of the few who prefers the first half of the film. The second half is still amazing of course.

Frankly, I prefer the first half. Mostly due to it being more compelling. I personally think the second half does drag a bit and has too many unnecessary scenes and subplots which frankly aren't necessary to the narrative. But that's just me.

I don't detest the second half, I just have my issues with it.

I can skip the first half up until the point they hit the iceberg. After that, it becomes an amazing film which perfectly captures the horror that happened to the people on the ship.

The second half of course, the first one is one of the worst romances of all time.
