I love The Phantom, I thoroughly enjoy super-hero films set in the 30's and 40's. It's one of my favourite films, along with The Shadow (with Alec Baldwin), The Rocketeer and Dick Tracy. Let's be honest, as far as comic book adaptation goes, The Phantom was a fairly good one. Batman & Robin had 5 or 6 times that budget and is way, way, way worse. Jeez, I cringe when I hear some of the diaogue from that film. What a waste of money and talent. And as to Daredevil, it's true the theatrical version is lame and way too short (what idiot thought that a length of 1h:40m would be enough for a story as complex and intense as the origin story of Daredevil!?), but the Director's Cut is actualy a great film; I have the blu-ray and love it. At about 2h:10m it has everything the theatrical released version lacks. And Ben Affleck isn't nearly as bad as Matt Murdock as one might think from the theatrical released version. It's amazing what different editing and adittional scenes can do for a film.

It's been 4 years, but I'm still insisting that Captain America and the Phantom are worse than the movies you've all mentioned.

I agree with Batman & Robin, and Superman IV, but how can you leave out movies like the original Spider-Man film or the Captain America one. Those are both HORRIBLE. They make B&R look like a masterpiece. Too many people jump on the hate bandwagon without actually watching the BAD movies. They just go with what everyone on the internet says. Guarantee you that your list will change if you check out those two clunkers.

ghost rider had the same problem elektra had, very little in the way of villains and super lame and boring fights. its like, you're a bad guy so im going to stare into your eyes and make you relive all the evil you've caused. oh you're a demon, so i cant make you see all the evil you've done but i can warp you up with my fire chain and make you evaporate. oh you're a demon made of air? well let me disintegrate you with my fire chain. oh so this one is made of earth? well let me use my GODDAMNED FIRE CHAIN to harden him and make him explode. its either a chain or him just staring at people, and the fights lasted minutes at the most. we're going to set up up these bad guys and this whole story, but then when it comes time to fight them we'll just cram every major fight into the last 20 minutes of the film, because we need to save that film so we have plenty of shots of nic cage nodding his head and opening his eyes really wide.

Ok, it's been 6 months since my last post, and with the new Captain America already out, I still insist that the 1990 Captain America, The Phantom, The Spirit AND The Shadow are worse movies than all the ones you've all mentioned so far.
