Look me in the eyes and tell me that Titanic is a better film than this.
And do so without laughing hysterically. I fucking dare you.
shareAnd do so without laughing hysterically. I fucking dare you.
shareOkay, post a photo of your eyes.
shareTell me how to post a photo here.
shareI'll be honest, idk, never tried. I'll just imagine your eyes while saying it I guess.
I imagine this is what everyone on the internet looks like, so I pictured this while saying it, if that helps: https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1GnOI6VqDgE/W0cVOdtUZhI/AAAAAAAAUTM/GK1Xzq3rt2ITFjNM78QU-ZihC6DtGakhgCLcBGAs/s1600/potato%2Bhead%2Bpoppet.jpg
One of my favs.
The story was great and if that's not enough
Crowe was hot!
It is. Strangely but this film doesnt stand time. They dont show it constantly on tv. Its like everyone just forgot about its existence.
Its a good movie, I like it. But nothing great. And I could never understand the meaning of Kim Basinger character and her existence. They were hyping her so much when it came out. Giving awards. But she was so bland and boring. Like a mannequin. She was miscast. She has zero charisma with Russel Crowe character.
Fucking troll
shareLAC is a very well made film, but it’s a nuts-and-bolts cop thriller at the end of the day, it doesn't break any new ground. Titanic did something special by recreating the legendary sinking with modern effects (good, practical ones along with some CGI) and put the audience right in the middle of the disaster. It used cinema to reinvigorate history.
I prefer LAC but I don’t have a problem with the Academy awarding Titanic.
I saw Titanic when it first came out and it made me cry. Though I was only 11 years old. I have never wanted to watch it again. I like L.A Confidential, As Good as it gets, and Good Will Hunting better and they put me in feel good moods. Titanic though is just too depressing for me.
shareLa confidential is definitely more watchable.
Titanic better graphics
TBH, both films have a fair share of schticky subplots and cartoonish supporting characters (the Italian kid with the meatball accent, Danny Devito being his goofy self, Billy Zane a Marvel-esque type villain with arched eyebrow and slicked black hair, Pierce Padgett a generic sitcom snobby upstart villain, Rollo Tomoso an Irish cop in LA okay we’ll just go with that but really what?…)
share"Titanic" has the visual effects, and millions upon millions of teenage girls and young women obsessed with Leonardo. Ooooo, Leonardo! "L.A. Confidential" is a better movie.
