Im sure they had Sly and Arnie in mind when the script first done the rounds so I'd like to see it happen this time around. 🤞

That's true they were the 2 it was originally for. From trivia

Originally Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone were in mind to play the lead roles. When John Woo was brought in to direct, he decided that John Travolta and Nicolas Cage would be more suited to the roles.

However Escape Plan was pretty much their Face/Off as the entire film was kind of a remake of the F/O prison segment

daniel "no Bond" craig is one of the very worst non-actors around.

tom hardy has a stupid face, a Backpfeiffengesicht, also guaranteed to bomb any movie.

Those two would make great burger flippers, nothing else.

Does NOT need a remake. Hollywood needs to make new ORIGINAL material. No regurgitating old stuff. NO X-men 21, NO fast and furious 14, NO spiderman 12. NO remakes. NO endless sequels and prequels. NUTS!
