B&R is like the Phantom Menace of Batman movies
The most hated out of the films and hasn't got much of a standing as a favourite among fans.

shareTo me it’s the force awakens of Batman movies
shareI would honestly say that Batman & Robin if we're going to use a Star Wars analogy, is the Star Wars Holiday Special of Batman movies. Both were pretty much rushed into production in wake of the huge success of Batman Forever and A New Hope respectively. Both immediately became notorious for their embarrassing cheesiness (the Holiday Special was basically what you would get if you mixed Star Wars with a kitschy 1970s TV variety show) and unsure and on focused tone. They both felt like they were made by people who had no understanding or respect for the source material and just wanted a quick pay-day.
shareWhat about a Bond analogy? Clooney had been referred as the George Lazenby of Batman who is a one time Batman who has no standing as a favourite.
shareYes, but Batman & Robin is somewhat watchable(at least the first half). Maybe none of the Star Wars movies meet the criteria of B&R.
Batman & Robin is an over-the-top production full of way too many grandiose scenes and chock full of A-list stars that in the end, just doesn't work. Is there another movie that fits this bill?
Right off the bat I'm thinking Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
Other possibilities?: New York, New York? Hateful Eight? The Postman? Waterworld? Django Unchained?
Any of the films out of the sequel trilogy are synonymous with Batman and Robin.
