The Non-Batman Films of Joel Schumacher

Such a shame this guy always gets associated with his worst failure (at least from a critical perspective), Batman and Robin. Looking through his filmography he directed some good movies including two movies that I'd argue are legitimately great, The Lost Boys and Falling Down.

With the exception of Lost Boys and Falling Down a lot of his films aren't exactly all that shouted about, his body of work is nowhere near as big as Tim Burton, Chris Nolan or Matt Reeves. Even though he wanted to do it but couldn't Year One though as much good will it has isn't exactly a story that fans were dying to see being made into a film.

I remember he directed a few episodes of "House of Cards" (2013 - 2018). They were actually pretty interesting. Heck, even "Batman Forever" (1995) was a barrel of fun.

It is a shame the guy gets crapped on for one bad film, but that's the way it works in showbiz.

The Lost Boys is crap but I like a few of his films.
