i recite this everywhere but i can never get how
how he says, "gloves."
it's too beautiful for my mind to grasp:
It's like in the olden days, in the days of France, when men would slap each other with their gloves...
say, y'know "D'Artagnan!" "how dare you talk to me like that, you!"
"No, I wasn't the class clown, but I sat next to him and studied him"
Also, Fred Willard's "impression" of Henry Fonda is hilarious.
There are so many great quotes in this movie, but the one my friends and I (we're all actors) say whenever someone important is coming to our show or when we get a really good review is.."What does that mean, Corky".."That means we're going to BROADWAY!"
shareeverybody dance.
can you BE more gay???
i'm going to fight for our country.
how tall are you?
No, that feels nice.
(the hair dryer on the crotch)
I feel you blowing in my ear.
Why are you whispering? I'm right here.
This isn't school where you can just miss a day.
(they are IN a school when he says that)
Ron gives me 2 or 3 hours of notes each night that we go over.
She always laughs, but I have to tell her who I'm impersonating because she never knows, but she always laughs and then asks, "who was that?"
My favorite line of Ron's is below:
If there's an empty space, just fill it with a line. . even if it's from another show.
When the town council is at Corky's apartment begging him to come back to the show and Larry Miller says "That whole thing, hmm?" I say that all the time.
Also, the aforementioned "how high a ridge I could not tell."
My husband is partial to "bastard people" and "I hate you and your ass face."
Wow, this is an 8-year-plus thread with so many awesome moments.
My wife is not a huge fan of this movie as I am, but we have milked a line or two from "This Bulging River" - even if it's a slight mix-and-match.
I sometimes put my face next to hers, and say, "When is the rain going to stop, Mama?" And..."hush, child, huuuuuuush."
I like when libby says "what does this mean corky?"
and i use "...way, way, way, far away," as much as i possibly can.
