Did they not have A/C in Mississippi in 1996?


The whole movie, everybody's sweating buckets. I mean I know they're backwards down in the South, but being anti-A/C? WTF?

(And yes, I'm sure it was the director just going for an effect to increase tension, but it was pretty stupid, if you ask me.)




I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

The only sweaty parts took place outside, Carl's home, the grocery store,at Jake's house and at Jake's office. He was renovating his home and beyond broke.I am thinking he either couldn't afford to buy one or couldn't afford to use it. Same theory applies to Carl's and the grocery store. If that wasn't it then I guess maybe they shot it that way because it gives the movie a grittier feel.
