SUCKED! Woody's character was totally unsympathetic...Angel was hot,
but so what...she was boringly used. God, what a crappy movie.

I saw this in the theatre when it first came out in 96. I was shocked the 1st time I saw it because the just didn't make this kind of gross out comedy back then.
Still, I went to see it again when it came to the dollar theatre, then bought it on DVD. It is now one of my favorite movies of all time.
The gross stuff is actually very funny and there is a very sweet story underneath holding it all together.
my husband and me consider this movie to be one of our favorites, and we sometimes even quote from it, lol. i do more than he does, i LOVE this movie. i think doug was just a little up tight for this movie, u have to have an open mind for this one, lol, this movie rocks.

While I wouldn't say that this was the Bros best film, it was still pretty funny. Although I can't generally stand Woody Harrelson, he fit the role pretty well, and Bill Murray was hilarious -- that rug! it requires a sense of humor to find it entertaining .. something most people possess. Besides, someone who uses the term "sucks nuts" probably doesn't stand a chance.
If nothing else, you could have stayed in your seat to watch Vanessa Angel!

shareI agree that kingpin isn't the greatest movie ever made, but it is a very funny movie (in my opinion). If you would have seen the rest of the movie you would have noticed that Roy Munson(Woody)becoming more sympathetic towards the end of the film. Plus, the fact that you have got to love Bill Murray's character(Big Ernie)and how he portrays such egotistical *beep* I do admire hearing what other people think about the movie though.
