I just watched it with my six year old daughter and it was perfect for her.

Yes, it is very relatable and it continues to age well. Your daughter should be able to watch it with fresh eyes as she grows in time.
I have fond memories with my parents while watching this film too.

I remember when that came out :). I was 10 years old, and it was the first time I saw Anna Paquin. I loved the interactions between her and the geese, and how Amy slowly re-connected with her dad during the movie. It was also fun seeing them fly in the the ultralights over America.
