When Spec Illario tells the true Story of Cpt. Walden´s death, you can see a battle sequence with her shooting Iraqi soldiers with an m16. BUT: I thought the m16a2 (which was used in this case) could only fire single shots or tripple salves, but not fully automatic - but she did?!? Or am I wrong about this?

There are a few youtube vids out there you should watch.
The m16 vs the ak47. Each has its purpose and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. And while there are reams of anecdotal evidence of why this person prefers this weapon over that one, it really comes down to utility; What purpose do you want your rifle for. If you want high 1st shot accuracy, and better lethality per hit, then the m16 is the way to go. If you want high weapon reliability, don't care overly much about accuracy and need to penetrate armour or fortification walls, etc, then the AK is the way to go.
But look, I'm not going to repeat what's said repeatedly in the multitude of video's available on youtube regarding this subject. I recommend, rather, that you type M16 vs AK47 into a search engine, and watch the youtube vid results.
