It's become one of our standard Christmas movies. This one, Elf, A Christmas Carol (1985 George C. Scott version), and A Muppet Family Christmas are ones we have to watch every year. Preferably with peppermint ice cream!

Around Thanksgiving thru February when it's finally cold outside, I love to watch While You Were Sleeping, Elf, Fred Clause, White Christmas, A Christmas Carol (G.C.Scott), Serendipity, The Grinch (Jim,Carey), Wonderful Life, and Mixed Nuts!!
I'll watch them alone, and when company comes let them choose from that list ...
I do. Sometimes more than once. (In fact, I'm watching it now.)
As someone like Lucy, with no family, the holidays can be pretty depressing. This film is a fantasy for people like us.

Me too. I just finished watching it now, January 8. First time as a Blu-ray after about 15 times as a non-anamorphic DVD. I had bought the Blu-ray, it came from Australia via Singapore, I'm in the U.S., and it took a month to arrive. Worth it, even though the disk has only a trailer as a "special feature". In real life I may be more like Joe Jr. than Jack, but Michael Rispoli and everyone make their lives seem real and worth being part of.
