Good question!
For me it was good enough to stand the shaky camera. I liked the interaction of the two main characters. But nothing much happen, it's mostly seeing the development of their relationship with a somewhat open end.
It was really annoying. I enjoyed the movie so I went on to the end, but I have given up other movies that weren't so interesting because of the shaky cam, sometimes they shake so much it makes me sick. I don't see the point unless as you mentioned it's an action scene.
When Annie gets there, it was already closed for the day, so there was no lines anymore. I myself have been allowed for free and without lines in museums in NYC just because they were about to close and I asked just to take a look as I was a tourist and not sure I'd be able to return another day. As for Jonah, we just see him leaving the cab, we don't know if he faced a line and we don't know what his father said to security when he got there , but probably that his 8 year-old son might be unaccompanied up there and they may have let him cut the line. I went there in 2000 and it was not that complicated to go up the top. Since 9/11 security and lines take much more time. No way they would let Annie in the elevator after closing times these days.
And the real Anthony doesn't seem to have any happiness ahead too.
I really think that some recurring jokes like Elizabeth breaking some nice china were fun. The one thing that annoys me most is Rose. In the first season I thought her character was a little funny, but from the second season on with the new actress I thought it was too exaggerated: the character, the acting, her stories, clothes. It was all too much! I'd rather see more of the other family members. I think it would be ok if she had a new boyfriend drama once or twice in each series, but in every episode it's just way too much. I move forward on her scenes.
Two songs by the "Jackson 5", not MJ alone, not even written by him, only performed by him as a young child. What is really so sick is actually seeing perversion everywhere.
Hi TxMike. I'm four years late but I just discovered this movie recently and I think you nailed the ending. Not the happy cheerful ending people were expecting but the most sensible one. The agreement was the key to her decision not to go to Paris, it was the condition she agreed with her father and fiancé in order to study in Europe and the fact that she noticed how much she and Hank were falling for each other made it really impossible for her to go. In the beginning she agreed out of curiosity and for the thrill of it, but as things got serious she had to make a decision. And I think that one of her last messages in which she said she thought she would fall in love with Prague but it actually didn't happen because she felt different there, like she didn't belong was a sign that she wouldn't be ok leaving her family and culture behind. Also, Hank had some unsolved issues with his parents and going to Paris to meet her was some sort of escape and could give him a false idea of a new life with her.
I love this movie but there are many plot holes and this is one of them. And even if there was no direct flight from Krakozhian (which ended up proving that there were), it's quite odd that only one person from that country would arrive in the USA around those days. And with more Krakozhians in transit, I'm sure that Immigration would have a guideline on what to do with these people. They wouldn' simply let them wondering around a terminal. Probably they would send them to a country that had acknowledged the new government in Krakozhia.
