I just watched 12 M. for the first time, all the way through. Is the reason that IMDB describes it as a black comedy because Pitt's performance is so clownish and exaggerated? Was he not directed!? I don't think he was at this undeserved exalted place in pop. culture at the time, so why didn't they fire him after the first few dailies? He's just awful and distracting in every scene.
I was never a Brad Pitt hater, but his performance in Seven was bad, too. I also saw him in an earlier obscure flick and he was terrible there as well. 12 M would have been a much better movie, and possibly a cult classic, without him in that key role. Brad must've been a pool boy for some influential producer back in the day. He surely can't act.

Brad Pitt is amazing in this movie, you are just jealous this guy gets more ass than a toliet seat at a jets game.

Just watched the film and Pitt's acting was nothing less than genius.

are you complaining he was bad in this movie? he was nominated for best supporting actor for this movie.

He was better in this than he was in Se7en, that's for sure. However, I also felt that he overacted a bit. Don't get me wrong, I liked his character, but Willis and Stowe easily had the best performances, although Pitt's performance was the most attention grabbing.

I've seen Brad in about 5 movies. I thought his acting was fine in all of them.

Except this. He really is laughably bad in this.

But I don't blame him completely. The director was Terry Gilliam, and Gilliam has a soft spot for the bizarre, so he was probably pleased as punch with Brad's performance.

Pitt was awesome in this. I don't know how you can say otherwise even if you hate this film, which I also can't see. He was hilarious. "get outta my CHAIR!!!"

Crazy talk, people. This is probably Pitt's best role.
