Tommy Boy vs Billy Madison

Tommy Boy was not only funnier, but had more heartfelt moments. It wins by a landslide. But both are classics in my book.

I like them both, but I definitely have to go with Tommy Boy. That movie was Chris Farley and David Spade at their very best. And when I say that, I mean at their best seperately. I'm not even speaking about what an unbeatable comedy team they were, on top of that.

Tommy Boy had great acting, the other side of comedy (which is tragedy), and one bellylaugh after another. After all these years, I STILL laugh outloud at it.

On the other hand, Billy Madison was good because it is signature Adam Sandler humor. I just love his humor. The movie came out when I was 15, and I actually think it's funnier NOW, because I think as you get older the stupidity of it is just accentuated. lol That was the entire point. Adam wasn't trying to make a realistic movie, or something that was going to win awards. He was just being Adam Sandler. (I think my personal faves of Sandlers are Little Nicky and The Wedding Singer.)

If I had to choose I would pick Tommy Boy over Billy Madion and here's my reasons why I think this way:

Plot- Tommy Boy by a landslide, it actually has a point, they need to sell break pads and stop the company from going under. BM's plot is so stupid but fun to watch though. But if i had to choose the best it would be TB.

Acting- Tommy Boy and it's not even close. When a comedy manages to have funny and sad scenes in the movie it has to be great.

Supporting Cast- Tommy Boy, Billy Madison may have good actors but Tommy had even better, it was hard to choose.

Supporting Characters- Billy Madison, the characters in that movie are so random and bizarre that they make the movie work by their selves. The partyers, the clown, the kids, the maid, the principal and the crazy guy make the movie work. Tommy's characters were realistic but did not make the movie work by their selves.

Main Female Actress- Tommy Boy, Julie Warner may not have been a perfect 10 hottie like Bridgette Wilson was but Julie is still a babe. Julie is also a more realistic main romantic interest because anyone can have a girl like her. Women like Julie are more common in real life than a girl like Bridgette is. Bridgette comes across as to perfect for her own good, and that is why her career has failed, because she does not seem like a normal woman, Julie does.

Music- Tommy Boy, the whole soundtrack and the songs in the movie are worth listing to. Billy Madison only has two good songs in it.

Tommy Boy is obviously a better movie. You can't deny that. But overall comedy and re-watchability, it's Billy Madison. I know it's dumb but I think it's freaking hilarious.
