What was Venus' power?

---I think people confuse themselves unnecessarily trying to assign each senshi one specific 'power'. Jupiter does have the power of thunder and lightning, for example, but what else does she have? Jupiter Oak Evolution. Mercury does have her ice bubbles, but most of her attacks are specifically water. Shabon Spray. Shine Aqua Illusion. There's a lot of cross-over with Neptune.---

Each of the senshi helping Moon is supposed to represent one (or more) of the five Japanese elements:

Sailor Mercury -- water (ice)
Sailor Mars -- Fire
Sailor Jupiter -- Wood/Earth (Thunder); wood and earth are seen as two separate elements

This being the case then it is safe to say that Sailor Venus is Metal (which could be seen as gold).

Their powers are also based upon their planet, and the god the planet is named after (Jupiter’s thunder, Venus’s love chain). Uranus’s power comes from the sky (Uranus being the deity of the sky). Her powers first appear earth based but are not (it only appears so because of her World Shaking attack) but if you pay attention to her other attacks you see she draws her power from the air/sky/space above her head and throws it at the ground, destroying it.

This is completely false. Venus is the leader of the inner planet soldiers. She is as strong as any other inner soldiers, if not, stronger.

Elements:

Moon = love - light - healing - purity (she explains it better herself every time she gives the final blow to monster of the week every week)

Mercury = water - ice - mist
- Bubble Spray / Shabon Spray (mist-based defensive attack)
- Bubble Spray Freezing (mist + ice-based offensive attack)
- Shine Aqua Illusion (ice + water-based attack, it depends on how she wants to use it)
- Mercury Aqua Mirage (water-based attack)
- Mercury Aqua Rhapsody (water + ice-based attack, mostly water-based though)

Mars = fire
