Will this movie become more popular?
I wonder if this film will be "rediscovered" thanks to the outbreak going on (or soon will be going on) in real life.
I happened to rewatch this about 5 months ago. Stellar flick.

SAW IT IN THEATER BACK IN THE DAY..GREAT FLICK,THAT HAS BEEN SOMEWHAT FORGOTTEN THUS FAR.
shareGood movie for it's time. I also rewatched it a few months back.
But why would you think we would all suddenly want to watch movies about viruses... during the threat of a virus...?
I feel like Contagion from 2011 is more likely to get a boost in attention (even though I liked Outbreak better).
shareDOUBLE FEATURE OF OUTBREAK AND CONTAGION..EVERYONE WEARS SICKS MASKS AND GOWNS...IM HAVING THAT PARTY!
shareContagion is more like what the COVID-19 outbreak is, a respiratory-type illness. Let's hope it doesn't get that bad, but it doesn't seem like in China it was all that different.
Contagion is the "old" virus scare, one of the hemorrhagic fever types -- Ebola, Marburg, etc. These seem like less likely global pandemic candidates because people die too soon to spread it.
I kept checking and rechecking Netflix and Amazon Prime for this to watch with my wife, but it wasn't available.
Then one day, boom, it's in the top 10 list on Netflix. Funny how that works.
It should, clearly. It was the first time I ever heard of Ebola.
This is a pretty good film with some Oscar winners Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Spacey and Cuba Gooding Jr.
Wolfgang Peterson as director is a nice addition.
It was a box office hit.
Unfortunately, the film falls apart (in my opinion) near the end with the obvious anti-military theme.
Contagion is very popular at the moment
