It's not even close to the top 100 worst movies of all time, it's more in the middle of the pack of the thousands of movies ever made. It's not awesome, it's not terrible, it was an enjoyable movie made during a time period where they seemed to still have some balls and were not remaking everything. It's easily a 5 or 6 out of 10.

The year is 2021. 17 years' worth of crap movies have since been made. Congo is now in the top 50% of movies for certain.
