history nerds enough, this movie is great

when i first watched this movie as a kid i dident knew it was about real history, like i realize this is scotland and england and all of that but i thought its just uses those in a made story.

people refuse to understand that historical movies are set in their own universe. so it makes no difference if the real scots dident wear skirts, in the universe that the movie is set in they do.

you can think of it as an alternate universe if you'd like, and once you will understand that you will start to enjoy movies regardless of accuracy.

this movie has:

great contained story

great music

amazing fight scenes for its time despite the budget limitations.

funny moment

overall fun to watch, and nothing you will say will change that, no "but wiliam wallace dident do that!!!111!" or "but scottish skirts were invented in the 18 century!!1!!" or any kind of other nonsense that grifters on youtube like metatorn and history buff like to spaw for their own grift.

nobody CARES!!

its became a fashion for people to trash this movie. btw, outlaw king? the so called "accurate" movie from netflix? yep, that one is so SOOO BORING.

The historical inaccuracy doesn't bother me. Mel Gibson's shitty accent and wig does.

Mel's accent doesn't bother me at all. Nor does the long hair. Those are stupid things to complain about. This is a great movie.

Good for you if it doesn't bother you. It bothers me and he's playing the main character. I simply don't buy him in the role. He's too much of a short arse as well, sorry.

GREAT flick. Easily in my top 10.

I don't care about history nerds crying. Reality is always boring - those are called DOCUMENTARIES

Braveheart is great to watch, well made, and inspiring
