YOUR FAVORITE EPISODE OF ALL TIMES??

I was about 12 in 1995, when the series sttared so I was pretty young when I began watching The Outer Limits. I didn't even know it was a Canadian series until a few years ago, but I remember alot of the old ones like Heist with a young pre-Saving Private Ryan Barry Pepper and that pretty freaky epsiode with Brent Spiner who played Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation. I also remember there was another epsiode where aliens had abducted a street block or something, can't remember precisly. But of all my absolulte favorite of all times is Abduction. Not only because I'm in love with Meghan Ory (SP) but because it is a very, very good lession about school shootings that I think all people adults and kids alike should watch. Heck why not even show it to a high school class and get then to discuss the topics that the epsiode presents. Anyways, I like sharing, so what's yours? Another one I also liked stared John Spencer from the West Wing and Micheal Ironside it was called "Summit".

my all time favorite episode of the 90's-00's run of Outer Limits is "Simon Says." it's a brilliant episode, creepy, well-acted, and with a great ending.

My personal favorite is the first season episode "The Conversion." It was just an uplifting morality tale, mostly dialog-centered, but it just hit me perfectly.

I loved the conversion episode too.

It's hard to have favorite episodes with 153 to think about... but let's see:

- The conversion
- The Voice of Reason
- A Stitch in Time
- Resurrection
- Unnatural Selection
- The Refuge
- Vanishing Act
- Stream of Consciousness
- Feasibility Study
- The Hunt
- Descent
- Family Values

Special mention to Caught in the Act, it's a poor episode but Alyssa Milano's breast makes it worth watching.

But what I like most about The Outer Limits is its variety, some episodes will make you think, others will be pure horror, science-fiction or fantasy, sometimes it will be a thriller. You never really know what you'll get.

I can't tell you ep. number but my favs are:

the camp
promise land
Lilithia(first outer limits I ever saw BTW)
abduction

couple of notable mentions.

family values
patient zero

and that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I have not watched many episodes but the dvd worth getting is "sex and science fiction".
There is a great episode called "The New Breed"

Check it out freak lovers!

1. Tempest
2. Music of the Spheres

"How's that for Japanese efficiency?"

reply

Mine are probably "Hearts And Minds" and "Alien Radio".

THE REFUGE....and its not even close. Snowy cabin, cozy interior plagued by sense that something is wrong. Replay it weekly on my DVR, one of my favorite episodes from any series on tv..ever.

Having re-watched all 7 series (thanks Amazon.ca) I'd throw these 12 out there as standing up best to repeat viewing.

1. Deprogrammers
One of the better twists and an ep of real quality. Technically as good as OL ever got (lighting, prosthetics, camera work, even the music).

2. Summit
Punchy opening and doesn't let-up. Great cast and verbal sparring.

3. Tempests
Best horror story in the set, some real mind bending.

4. Decompression
Best time travel episode and character study, draws the viewer in nicely whilst leaving the cast in the dark.

5. Quality of Mercy/Light Brigade
Doesn't get darker than this.

6. Sentence
Salutory dystopian tale.

7. Vanishing Act
Not a fan of OL time travel episodes, or the cheesy Nicholas Prentice, generally they all looks a bit too much like 90s Vancouver. This one's well realised tho, although the wrap-up is possibly a little unsatisfying.

8. The Camp
Sigourney look-alike does ok but the Commandant steals it. Unusually well done sets and story ticks along at a surprising clip.

9. A New Life
A superior take on Relativity Theory. Nice mystery.

10. New Breed
Best bio-shock ep, some imaginative make up work!

11. To Tell the Truth
Bland lead but fine supporting cast and a surprisingly well fleshed out world. Props for the sub-titled alien dialect - only occurence in the series strangely.

"Decompression"

Brilliant!

Copy the script, get a a movie star in the waning, stretch it a bit (along with the budget), send it for a January, February or April wide release.

This is a surefire 20 + million dollar opening weekend for a 10 + million dollar budget film.

...All it needs, an interesting trailer.
