I loved this movie as a kid! I even dressed as Odette for Halloween in '96!
It's a really nice, non-dancing version of "Swan Lake," so you're correct. A lot of people have mistaken this for a Disney film, because it has many hallmarks of one, but it was definitely not made by Disney. Heck, it's not even a Don Bluth cartoon!
Oh, I liked this movie when I was a kid. But frankly, I love it even more as an adult than I did as a child.

shareI have similar feelings about "Labyrinth." I didn't like it very much as a kid, but as an adult I've grown to appreciate it more. You could also say the same about us 90s kids who grew up during the Disney Renaissance and discovered hidden stuff in our fave Disney movies that the adults saw, but we didn't at the time, and the story is a richer experience as a result.
