Lion King: Why Is Scar The Only Lion With An English Accent?

It's like the old Biblical movies of the 1950s and 1960s. The evil Romans are British actors, and the Christians are American.

I wanta know why, if he's Mufasa's brother, he has dark red fur with a black mane; while Mufasa has golden fur and a reddish-brown mane? They look nothing alike!
