Should actors fear getting shot by real bullets, while filming, because they were mistakenly used instead of blanks

It was a freak accident. This is a rare instance of neglect.

I thought Brandon Lee *was* shot with a blank?

Don't bring facts into the discussion.

It's complicated to explain right off the top of my head but I thought that Brandon was shot with a dummy bullet (a dummy bullet is basically, a bullet that is only used for close up shots and is not supposed to be discharged like a blank) that was accidentally left in.

Actors are often used so they should pray for avatars.

It's so easy to avoid accidentally shooting people on movie sets, it's as if they're actually trying to shoot them. About thirty seconds of basic firearms safety training would take care of the problem. There are zero excuses.
