Woefully underrated

This movie is really fantastic, with a great theme (the media's obsession with, and approval of, "marketable crime"), great acting (including Flea and Anthony Kiedis), great action, and a simulated sex scene that puts Cinemax to shame. Obviously, it wasn't in line for any Oscars, but in terms of entertainment value, it's hard to argue that you're wasting your time watching this movie. This movie is a good; it's fun; it's not perfect, but you know you like it, and not for camp or cult value. It's just a good flick.

Yeah, it was a fun movie, nothing more nothing less.

Thought the same thing. Especially when I saw the low IMDB rating. This movie is hilarious! I finally bought it on DVD couple of months ago.

So true!

I've always thought it was 3½ stars. Seriously, it was excellent through and through.

Plus, Kristy Swanson is the sexiest thing I've ever seen in a major motion picture.

It’s a film that just... works. Mainly because the chemistry between Swanson (who is ridiculously hot) and Sheen takes off.

It’s short and lean, starting without any delay and then never lets up. The music is great and the tone is consistent - slightly cartoonish and satirical but anchored with a great central relationship that builds naturally.

It’s a true ‘ride’ through 1994.
