I actually thought this was very good and rate it 8 out of 10.

Definitely one of the better works, whether film or as this one is - a TV series, in about six parts and duration of which is six hours, to be adapted from and or related to Stephen King.

And in some ways also, relevant to modern times of the last two years following our current Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, even if King has at times denied it.

Atmospheric, at times disturbing, dynamic, well acted, thought provoking and generally engaging piece of work, yes "The Stand" (1994) is highly recommended.

At times, it even has the look, the feel, the pace and the style even of an action movie, with gunfights and some quite spectacular explosions too.

And Randall Flagg really does succeed in being a creepy and powerful supernatural villain.

Its a little too melodramatic perhaps at the end and in some ways predictable, and in some or other ways, it could've been improved but in general, yeah, very impressive piece of work this one.

Yeah, I thought it was a really solid effort. I do wish it was slightly less sanitized, but alas.

I also didn't think the new version was half bad, but the modern feel really threw me off. I'm also not sure why they started in the middle of the story.

What did you think of Flagg in 94, btw? I THINK HIS HAIR IS SO HOT!!! and this is coming from someone that typically doesn't like that kind of hair style 😂

I agree with the OP.

Plus, I think that the 1994 series is far superior to the 2020 effort, although there are things that the later CBS series did better. The addition of Rita's character, for example. The weak point of the 2020 effort was, I think the script.
