shareI remember seeing this movie when it first came out in 1993, so I would have been like 8 or 9. And the fat mother was very shocking to me. For years, that's the only thing I associated with the film or remembered about it. I'm not from a small town or anything, but until that point, I'm pretty sure I had never seen anyone that large before.
I just watched this again yesterday, and I thought "She's really not THAT big." Have you seen "My 600 Pound Life" and other shows like that? She's pretty small in comparison. I see bigger people regularly at the grocery store nowadays.
