I absolutely love this movie. It is an all time favorite

I think I am the only one I have ever heard of loving this movie. I am a huge fan of the video game series but I was never annnoyed or offended that the movie had nothing to do with the game. Iove the atmosphere of the movie, the costumes, the props, the robots (for lack of better term because I am very tired at he moment!), the story, the script. I love every single thing about it. Does anybody out there share my love for this movie? I had always assumed it was a well loved cult classic until a couple of years ago when I found out how despised it truely is.

Honestly, there are so many bad video game movies that this is sadly one of the better ones. Sure it's not written well or acted well, but it has that 90s charm, and I feel like it's completely aware of how ludicrous it is. I loved this when I was a little girl, so the nostalgia won't allow me to rag on it. Honestly, I'd rather watch something like this (and I do own it) than Resident Evil that thinks it's somehow being true to the video game and pretends that it's worth watching. Movies that think they're good are more offensive than a movie like this that at least has fun with itself.

I'm right there with you. I recognize why some people didn't like it, but it was certainly a lot better than most gave it credit for. The acting wasn't bad, the setting was interesting and unique, the various gadgets and stuff were cool. It's not a 10 by any means, but it's not a 4 either.

I genuinely enjoyed this movie as a kid and I can still enjoy it now. The fact that it holds a general consensus of being a terrible movie has no effect on my opinion.

Morons who label someone as ignorant for enjoying a bad movie are probably the same sheep who can't form an independent opinion, having grown so accustomed to basing their likes and dislikes on the opinions of others.

Movies, Music, TV and Sports are the areas where this is most prevalent. Especially sports where people don't grow up with a lot of knowledge like Boxing. Go to any boxing forum and you'll see 3 people with really educated opinions saying stuff like "Ali was overrated" or "today's best heavyweights would beat the greats from back in the day" and the sheep will pounce on them saying stuff like "Ali could beat every one of the top 10 guys in the same night" or "all heavyweights from the 1970s were better than every guy fighting today" without any kind of reasoning to back it up other than "someone else said so".

Or look at the hatred for the Star Wars prequels which are nowhere near as bad as people like to say, while also simultaneously showing how much people overrate the original trilogy due to its reputation. Return of the Jedi was far more childish and less logical than Attack of the Clones, but ROTJ is revered and AOTC is despised.

I enjoyed it as well. It's a funny, cheesy flick that is very enjoyable, and has a good soundtrack. The special effects are interesting, and I like the cyberpunk cityscapes.

It was horrible movie! I think the only reason you people like this film because of the nostalgia. Not because it was actually good movie.

So *beep* what? Bask in that nostalgia people. That only means that it left an indelible mark on you - just what it was supposed to do. Feel sad for those that get no enjoyment from it.

You Suck...now deal with it.
