This is such a good film
It should be considered timeless. One of my favourites of all time.
shareMight honestly be my favorite thriller of all time. It's tense, the acting is great, it's so well shot & it has aged amazingly.
I never tire of watching it.
It is, I always give it a rewatch every few years and it still holds up on the excitement and tension of wanting Richard Kimble to clear his innocence and get the bad guys even though you know how it ends. I don't like throwing out the line "oh they don't make 'em like that anymore" but in the case of the Fugitive, they really don't. It's actually one of Ford's last truly great films until Blade Runner 2049, although I do like Clear and Present Danger and Air Force One. Tommy Lee Jones got a well deserved Oscar for his turn in this. Also you get a young Julianne Moore in this in a small role.
I consider it a timeless classic.
It's very entertaining, but I absolutely hate Krabbé's portrayal. A terrible accent and too campy, he ruins every scene. And I say this as a fellow Dutch person.
shareSeriously? I just watched it for the first time with high hopes (due to its IMDB rating) and found it quite absurd. I think this movie appeals to straight men who enjoy constant chases, unlawful gunfights and overly suspenseful music paired with complete and utter suspension of reality.
shareYou literally just described the entire 90s.
shareYes.
shareThis and Silence of the Lambs, some great writing. Something we lost after the turn of the century.
