Anyone else kinda irritated that Cassandra and her band only played other bands songs?
There wasnt one original song.

shareNo. In a way, the movie is partly a tribute and celebration of the heydays of metal in the eighties, so it makes sense they'd be playing some nostalgic tunes everyone from the era were familiar with. I don't know, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Mike is a metal fan.
shareIt was (and still is) quite common for a young, live band to play cover songs of other bands. However, they did have at least one original song "Why You Wanna Break My Heart?" That's the song that Benjamin brought her out of town for the music video film shoot.
That clarified, I thought it wasn't very smart for Cassandra's band to cover Ballroom Blitz to entice Mr. Sharp to turn the limo around. It gives the impression they weren't as confident in their original tune to capture his attention.
I actually find her version more enjoyable that the original. Just shows more attitude ya know?
