Elliot really shows that everybody working on this movie didn't took themselves serious.
My god, of all the stupid lines in this movie (and loving them) this must be the most bizarre one!

Everything Creedence (Deborah Reed) said is hilarious, her intonation and mannerisms were so over the top it's priceless. I think she was the only one having fun with this movie.
Creedence: Your daughter looks appetizing...
Mom: Appetizing?
Creedence: Provocative...
Creedence: Zis is MYYYYyyyyYYYY HOUSSSSSE! (endlessly descends the staircase)
Creedence: What's the matter? Aren't you hungry?
Brent: Well, I like popcorn...
Creedence: We'll just have tooo... HEAT IT UP!
Joshua: A double-decker bologna sandwich!

I agree. Her character was hilarious.
For me, it's when the family first arrives in Nilbog to have a meet and greet with the 'exchange' family.
That *whole* scene is funny and so awkward. The evil father with the "You're LATE!" line. Haha.
Then Josh's dad proceeds to explain why they're late and the 'exchange' family is just completely not having it. They load into their car just completely oblivious to what Josh's father is saying.😄

Then that kid throws a baseball to Joshua that says: "Eat before we eat you" or something. Ooookayyy....
Utterly ridiculous.
That whole scene is so, so whacky.
