Sister Act 1 vs Sister Act 2

Sister Act 1 all the way for me! Great story, great songs,great characters.

I'm quite young and most young people i know prefer number 2. I don't get it.

Anywhoo which one do you guys prefer?

I like #1. Sorry, but #2 could have worked without any reference to the original. She could have simply been a singer who is asked to teach at a private Christian school that was going under. In the end, you would have the same movie.

Nothing like a nice lawsuit to ruin your day...

I think 1 is better, but 2 has better music.

Both are good, but I prefer Sister Act overall. I just thought the storyline was better and I liked the songs better. I did like how there were people closer to my age in Sister Act 2 and loved that Lauryn Hill was in it, but still I think Sister Act 1 is funnier and more charming.

I love part 1, but my cousin loves part 2.

I'm glad Obama won, but I will not jump on the Pro-Choice bandwagon

See i loved them both even though the second one was so cheesy and SUPER cliche. But these were classics and you cant see movies like these anymore :( oh the early 90's LOL

I remember being engrossed by the actual story on Sister Act 2 when I saw it at the theatres at age 7, but haven't watched it in many years... At this point I prefer the original.
But really we're lucky, as they were both good.

Sister Act vs. Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit?

Both had a bangin' soundtrack!

Good characters.

2 had Sketch & Jamal & Fran-K (hey, ho, hey, ho)

The Original had the the comedy.

The last musical performances in each are SOOO awesome!

Verdict:
I loved both equally for different reasons. Can't decide. lol

Yeah I've always thought of Sister Act 2 as one of the few sequels that lived up to the first film! They are both utterly amazing!

The first Sister Act is the best due in most part to an excellent cast and some very funny one liners. As far as sequels go Sister Act 2 is actually pretty good despite all the cliches.

i saw #2 1st in one of my middle school music classes, so i suppose i'd take that one over #1...i remember ridiculing #2 in class but i actually liked it...i've seen #1 but for sheer entertainment (and sentimental) value i'd take #2 over #1 anytime...

i think the reason why most young people you know prefer #2 is because they, like myself, saw #2 in some music class in school...#2 is more about the music than anything else...

I loved both of them, they were both special in their own way. I love Sister Act 1 because we are introduced to the nuns who are so funny and great. I like Sister Act 2 for the kids and the awesome music.
