$1,000 on room service
Kevin orders that big ice cream tray, but would that and other food he probably ordered offscreen really equate to nearly $1,000 on room service?

sharei imagine kevin was ordering all kind of expensive meal up to his room, not just sweet. i can see him ordering fancy hamburger made of prime steak meats etc. cidric was also bring kevin his laundry.

I DON'T KNOW WHY...BUT THAT CRACKED ME UP.🤣
The hotel should have paid for all the room service given the potential lawsuit they would face for Tim Curry trying to enter the bathroom and endangering Kevin.
sharehahahah yes this is true! they should be reimburse.
ps i use to dislike this film. i see it as poor mans home alone. i watch it again this christmas and i find new appreciate for this film. this is because tim curry and cidric are hilarious! they steal movie.
the fat pigeon woman that kevin befriend is only part i dont like. but it is worthy sequel.
Yeah, the first one is overall the best film in the series, but I like the parts with the hotel and the McCallister family in Home Alone 2 more.
shareagreed sidha. there is lot of memorable scene and character in this film. chris columbus and john hughes did good job of keeping the sequel interesting. i like duncan toy chest scene as well and thing like this enhance the film story and christmas feeling.
shareIt was $728 but tax and tip was $239 and brought it to $967.
You can see on the bill:
6 custard flan ...$48
1 pastry cart... $210
8 Strawberry Tarts...$76
36 chocolate covered strawberries....$47
But that only accounts for $381
Was that the whole bill? I imagine Kevin also ate his meals in the hotel, which would be PRICY.
Have you ever ordered room service at a fancy hotel? That shit can add up quick. I'm surprised he kept it under $1000 🤣
shareIt could easily be that much... I've never stayed at The Plaza NYC, but besides the overpriced food, taxes and tip... these type of hotels usually also charge a "service fee" on the bill.

I ordered room service dinner just once - on our honeymoon - because it's an expensive luxury. I have to concede however that the meal was top notch.
