decided to watch this again as an adult

i saw this as a kid and absolutely loved it. i remembered it being so magical. i watched it again and couldn't believe it was only 22 mins long and the story was extremely simple. still, it actually is quite good and even funny. i heard this took years to make too.

I loved the original three Wallace and Gromit shorts. The 2nd and 3rd are a lot better than the first, but all three are exceptional. I had the good fortune to discover them as part of an animation festival when A Close Shave was still very new. I don't think nearly anyone in the audience had heard of it, and the capacity crowd of about 700 people went bananas. I still remember the audience cheering like it was a football game when Gromit converted his sidecar into an airplane. To this day, that's one of my favorite moments in a theater, ever.

I should definitely rewatch these.

It's good but The Wrong Trousers 4 years later was a step up in quality in every way.
