was expectign liek a halloween friday teh 13th type film..nothing like that at all

i feel a little bad for you,
i just rewatched this great horror flick & have seen a few reviewers and comments labeling this a "slasher" & it would definitely give someone the wrong idea before watching it the first time

I definitely wouldn't class it as a 'slasher'. Great film.

Yeah, I avoided it for so long. Finally watched it for the first time like two years, and I was blown away to be honest. Disappointed that I'd slept on it for so long.

While I wouldn't put it in the same vein, Candyman has definitely left me pondering in the manner I did with Fight Club after the first couple of viewings. As a slasher fanatic I couldn't agree more. This film is very thought provoking and deeper than you would've thought coming in.
