Dearest Odyssey Fans,

I want to begin my thanking you for being SO patient with me in regards to having The Odyssey released on DVD. There have been many obstacles but I have persevered and have finally received the news we have all been waiting for!!

The Odyssey WILL be released on DVD!!! Unfortunately there will be no bonus features but all the episodes will be available in a boxed set.

I am not sure as of the release date itself as we are waiting to here back from our in-house DVD authoring facility on their schedule to see when we can begin the process of converting the old Beta's to DVD.

I could have waited until I had an actual release date but I was so excited to pass along the news that I couldn't wait another minute!!

I will keep you posted as more developments are made!!

Holy Crap! SOOOO SWEET!!!

for the longest time I'd ask people if they knew this show and they'd look at me like i was a total nut job. I'm gonna force them all to watch it... oh sweet sweet Canadian imports!

omg, that is INCREDIBLE. lol, its been more than 10 years since i watched it on TV. i was watching every part of it and i had miss the last parts of it that was so sad, and nooooooow, after that long time..... omg !!!!!!!!11 cant wait!

I hope there will be Region 2 release, not just only for US and Canada...

Agreed.
I have emailed Gary (No reply yet tho ((August 27th 2007)) ) and asked him if it is possible for a region 2 release.
There are LOADS of UK based fans, not to mention all over europe and, the ones that did like the show, and had forgotten all about it, will be gagging to buy the box-set as soon as they see it on shelves! :)

I hope there will be a Region-2 compatible dvd box set and with the french language track. I'm a french fan of the show and I'm always disappointed to see how often American (and/or Canadian) or English TV series dvd boxed sets released in the U.S.A., in Canada or in the U.K. never have other language tracks than the English one. Here in France, in almost all foreign TV series boxed sets there is ALWAYS the english language track and even the spanish language track sometimes (even though we're in FRANCE) but I guess all english-spoken countries don't care much about the rest of the world and it's a real shame because we're out there and cristal clear images are not the only amazing feature you can get on a dvd, vhs times are over, you know !

Oh I dunno.
I live in the USA and I watch foreign shows and movies sometimes.
Personally I hate voice overs from different languages.
Cartoons are one thing, but not live action.
After a while it is annoying as hell.
Give me subtitles any day.

Also, a lot of foreign DVDs I have seen here do not have English audio (though I am not complaining). It can be a large expense for the company releasing it, and it can make it take a lot longer to release.
