In this film, Jennifer Connelly was really super hot, then she went and got breast reduction surgery. In "A Beautiful Mind", she looks totally different and not nearly as attractive.
Note to all women reading this: Please do NOT get breast reduction surgery. Real women have curves.
I think you meant to say "there is NO proof ...". Right?
And I think that she did have the surgery, by the way. There is NO way that diet, weight loss, and aging alone could take a woman down from a D-cup to a B-cup, which is about what her reduction amounted to if you compare her in the two films.
You got to be kidding! She looks great in The Rocketeer. Especially in the white evening gown she wears to the South Seas Club! The perfect 30's image.
WTF!!! Either you`re a jealous (probably displeasing to the eye)female, a rampant homosexual or just mentally disadvantaged... either way this woman is not plain looking.
The difference between outlaws and inlaws is that outlaws are wanted
I had a big crush on Connelly when I saw this film back in the days, she was so beautiful. About Megan Fox, please, I thought she was good looking/sexy when I first saw her in Transformers but then later on she just changed and overall, no, Fox nothing compared to Connelly from 1991.
There is NO way that diet, weight loss, and aging alone could take a woman down from a D-cup to a B-cup,
Fairly sure she was a high C(reference Diora Baird for a look at congenital double-Ds in all their glory)during the days in question and in any event we've gotta factor in bearing(thus presumably suckling)two sons into the aging part.
I'm sorry, but as a very large breasted woman, I agree with women who want to get breast reduction. It is unbelievably uncomfortable to have big breasts, the bra straps leave painful marks, we can rarely wear spaghetti strap or strapless dresses because strapless bras don't give enough support, not to mention the back pain, we can't jog comfortably (it hurts!), and a number of reasons I can't get into right now.
Besides, we tend to get more stretch marks and the breasts start to sag at a young age, not horribly, but just enough to make one feel self-conscious about it.
I'm planning on getting breast-reduction surgery as soon as I can get enough money, and I'm pretty sure it'll give my life a lot more comfort, and I don't feel bad about it. I know real women have curves, I have them and I feel proud of them.
----------------------------------- That was longer than a heartbeat!
I feel the same way. I am a woman, and I think her chest was just fine for her size... but she lost a lot of weight and now she is so thin and you don't even notice her chest. I had forgotten that she had surgery. I'm sure they didn't cause her back problems and it was for cosmetic reasons.
Just curious, though. Was she naturally as big as she looked in the movie, or did she have some help from the wardrobe dept? I wouldn't be surprised if there was some padding and lifting to give her the "perfect 1950s pinup" kind of look. Might explain the drastic "reduction" over the years.
You can see her in 'all her glory' as you say in several movies, I'd say most notably 'Mulholland Falls' and 'The Hot Spot'. As far as being 'plain' looking, I'd hate to see what would be considered un-plain or I guess 'interesting' looking.
Just finished watching The Rocketeer again. This woman was beautiful. I still find her attractive, but she has lost too much weight. Twenty years ago, looking at her was like staring at the sun. If she and Bill Campbell had stayed together, any children they had would have been perfect.
Couldn't have said it better myself. She still looks fantastic, nevermind the fact that she's 41 and has had three children (her eyes are absolutely beautiful to me), but early 90's Jennifer Connelly was pretty much perfect from head to toe in my opinion. Beautiful face, gorgeous smile, luscious body, lovely hair - the works. She's in my personal Top 5 most beautiful American actresses of all-time.
I personally don't think she had breast reduction surgery. She just became hollywood's typical anorexic-esque skinny, which is truly unfortunate. She was much better looking with some meat on her bones.
Jennifer Connelly was beautiful then and even after all these years she hasn't aged a bit. Still looked amazing by the time A Beautiful Mind came around. I can't say the same for Bill Campbell. He looked super HOT in this movie. They were the perfect couple (seeing as how they dated when this movie came out). But DAMN has he aged... he could pass as Connelly's father now.
Yeah, Billy Campbell got really thin. I saw him in that ghost movie with Greg Kinnear, and I didn't even recognize him. Although I was shoked to learn how old he was when he did this movie, I always thought he was in his early 20's here. Guess it just caught up to him..
Women are weird. Some will whine about how they don't feel like a real woman and then spend a fortune to have chunks of plastic shoved underneath their skin so they'll end up looking like a cheap, plasticky porn-actress. While others will whine about how uncomfortable it is to be blessed with big breats and then spend a fortune to undergo surgery to actually have their titties reduced in size.
I needed surgery *once* in my life so far (knock on wood) and the stuff I had to sign off before they could sedate me was mind-boggling and quite scary. Plus I felt lousy afterwards for a few days and it wasn't even a big operation. No way would I undergo such a procedure just for vanity's sake.
Besides: Have you ever heard a guy tell his physician: "Hey Doc, I want you to cut out a piece of my wang cause it's really uncomfortable when I sit in a chair or ride my bike, plus I really wanna pi$$ off my wife"?
Be happy with what you have (or don't have). Change what you can by changing your habits. And spend your money on a nice vacation, a cool car, clothes, the theatre or whatever it is that makes you feel good. Don't go running around throwing $$s at surgeons. A bigger/smaller chest isn't gonna change who or what you are.
My gf would tell you to get breast implants if you want to experience what it's like for a woman who has big breasts! She would LOVE to be a "B" or "C" cup.
Rewatching this there appears to be a LOT of padding on that dress, you can see how high the straps have her pulled whenever they shoot her from the side, and the cups on the dress are bigger and lower than where they would naturally be making her look HUGE.
