Wow, this movie scared the crap out of me

I accidentally stumbled across this movie's page and had a sudden flashback of being terribly disturbed by the boy turning into an animal and afraid that he wouldn't be able to turn back. Then again I was 4.

I'm surprised people were scared by this movie; I laughed more than anything. The one kid movie that really scared me was Return to Oz: the wheelers, the heads in the hall, even Jack (the pumpkin guy) scared me, and I remember the Gooey Gus episode of Ghost Writer. Was never scared, but the part where he turns to the camera and says, "You laughing at me! You laughing at me!" did make me pause since I was laughing at him.

It freaked me out because of the flooding and i was like 4 and didnt know what the hell was going on. It was just like, holy crap what is going on, similar to how i was with Neverending Story

I found the big owl (dont remember the name) rather terrifying.

This movie didn't scare me but the evil characters from Little Nemo and Ferngully did. I loved those movies so much but I always stopped paying attention when it got to the parts with the bad guys lol.

I don't recall being scared by this movie but I recall it being rather dark. Brave Little Toaster wasn't scary but the magnet park- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqT2uOa1-d0 always freaked me out. The B-movie song- is rather creepy too, kinda catchy though.-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOeK0Ig-H9g&feature=related

Wow, big nostalgia there.

It was definitely the Grand Duke in this movie who freaked me out. Well...not really 'freaked me out', but there was definitely this unsettling malaise I felt after watching it.

Now I just find the movie all-out hilarious. A song about running out of batteries? Hahahaha

Wow I am glad I was not the only one traumatized by this film when was a child. I used to watch this movie a lot when I was a child and I just watched the trailer and none of the scenes seemed familiar anymore. Its weird how I only can recall the very beginning of the movie with the flooding scene, it really must have traumatized me as a child that I would never forget that scene. I probably will never forget that scene for the rest of my life, unless I see the movie now and cope with it.

Me too!! I think I was fascinated with this movie, but also very confused and a tad disturbed. I don't remember why exactly... I think it had to do with it being dark all the time, and possibly the owl. Also, something about the rooster bothered me... that he was such a sex pot or something.

This and Ferngully really freaked me out. So did All Dogs Go to Heaven, but not as much.
