A question about the "I'm a cop" dude in the last bank heist they pulled?

This will probably sound bad. But do you think that cops actions of choosing to take on several armed robbers with his gun and pretty much forcing the reluctant security guard to join him was smart? Do you think that because of his willingness to engage with them and put lives at risk, sort of made him deserving of his fate in a way?

He’s largely responsible for all the shit that went down but he didn’t deserve to die for it. He was an overconfident idiot, but not evil.

"but not evil"
I don't even remotely think the OP and others suggested that he "was", not to mention, EVIL is often a very strong and SPECIFIC term that often refers to intentional acts of serious and often very selfish wrongdoing. But the OP was wondering whether it was correct of him to conduct himself that way and attempt to shoot and take down all robbers by himself, and also, fire at Keanu Reeves' character after he introduced himself briefly as an undercover FBI agent.

So yeah, not evil but was he WRONG? To act the way he did in that situation? And was it not also rather UNPROFESSIONAL? Or NOT?
