Well, there was the scene where Hurricane told Dud that his momma had always told him that he "was born under a lucky star." In any case, he "put a stopper in the bottle."
Good, underrated movie btw; could at least be a 7.5/10.
I like to think he lived AND went on to join the detectives in the big city like he aspired to.
