I watched this movie yesterday again. It is really a good one. The performance of Kevin Costner, specially during the trial , was very good.

The portrayal of Garrison by Costner was appalling, no matter how good his acing was during the film. Costner did not resemble Garrison at all when it came to his motivations or actions.

Yes, as work of fiction it was a fine performance. But anyone who has read about the trial or a factual account of Garrison's life knows it is a poor example of the truth.
