Did anyone else realize that there are FIVE films in this series?

Yes, five. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

I of course knew about Home Alone 1 and 2. And I had a vague awareness of a third film, though I never saw it.

But apparently there was also a fourth and fifth film produced, both made-for-TV productions: Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House and Home Alone: The Holiday Heist.

WTF?

I've seen them all. I would rank them 1,2,3,5,4.

Part 4 is one of the most inexcusable abominations known to mankind.

Indeed. For some reasons I watched them all as well and yes... the fourth is by far the worst and is one of the worst pieces of shit I've ever seen. The fifth was horrible as well, but not at the level of the fourth.

At least part 5 had some moments (I kind of liked the video game player who was playing with the kid), but part 4's biggest problem was keeping it the same characters as the first two films.

I was aware, but anything after "Home Alone 2" was dog crap. I know, because I made the mistake of watching the 3rd one and wished I hadn't. It's safe to assume that any that come after that dumpster fire will be equally as bad and forgettable.
