"Why didn't Andy ask Phil to stab chucky with a knife or set him on fire? There's no way Chucky could fake being a doll through that since he'll either bleed or howling from being burned alive."
Where would the fun have been in that? Part of what makes the first 3 Chucky movies work so well is that Andy (and the audience) knows that Chucky is alive and a real threat, but the people with the power to help him defeat Chucky don't believe him and can't accept such a possibility. Besides, even if Phil had done that, Chucky would have just found a way to kill him sooner. Haven't you noticed that every time someone becomes a potential source of assistance to Andy in these movies, Chucky tries to remove them from the situation either through death or disabling them (and more often than not he's quite successful at it)?
