Other movies with time travellers stuck in the past?

I used to hate this movie for not showing more of the future, like part II, but I've recently gotten a new appreciation for it. I love the hopeless feeling of being stuck in time, plus the more masculine, physical, hands on, dirty, gritty rough-ness of the wild west, compared to the clean 1950s and 2010s. In parts I and II, Marty might be beaten up, fade away, or arrested, but in part III there is a real chance he could be shot or die a slow painful death due to a lack of hygiene or medical supplies.

Are there any other films (or other media) that show a time traveller being trapped in the past and forced to adapt?

I'd love to see a character attempt a few on the things on the time traveller essential guide poster: https://i.imgur.com/dgJ7vHU.jpeg

EDIT: I just finished reading A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. Not sure if there’s a good film version but the book was exactly what I was looking for. I’m quite surprised that it wasn’t the technology the main character struggled the most with but the attitude and lack of scientific method. This is also something I’d like to see more media exploring.

er ,
- that yankee in Camelot thing from the old days.
- Army of Darkness
- Alien 3 might as well be "back in the past" (no tech)
- the one where the aircraft carrier visits ww2

none of these are really what you're looking for re "stuck & struggling"

A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court? That's on my to-read list. I have seen Army of Darkness a while ago. Nice having a present day person in medieval times. I'd love to see more like that. Haven't seen any of the Alien movies but on my to-watch list. Not sure about the last one but not quite as far back as I would like.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I've also liked the Twilight Zone episodes that deal with time travel.

Thanks, I have seen a bunch of the original TZ episodes but I don’t remember any time travel ones. I will check them out next.

Bit of a soppy romance but there's Somewhere in Time, starring Christopher Reeve. You have to have a bit of patience to enjoy it.

I watched that one recently. I really liked the process of him working out how to time travel back but the time in the past was a bit so-so.
