Would they make shows like this today?
I sometimes wonder about that because I feel a lot has changed since the 1990's.

shareThey do. Girls was inspired a lot by this one, and also always sunny in philadelphia.
shareprobably not. its mostly whites and whites are satan now for no reason
shareWell, maybe.
I was never a fan of "Seinfeld"
One was a huge fan of "CUrb Your Enthusiasm"
First four seasons anyway.
I believe Curb ran all the way to 2023. It started in 2000. This is a long time.
The same man was behind both shows, Larry David.
Thus, maybe a show like "Seinfeld" could work today.
For the first time, I watched a few scenes from "Curb Your Enthusiasm" based on your comment. It has the Seinfeld feel and themes, although I don't believe Curb is as funny. I agree with you that if Curb can do recent shows, then similar Seinfeld can also.
shareNo, this show along with the OFFICE would never get made in 2025, especially The OFFICE
shareYes. This show was mainly about being human which is relatable and relevant today rather than about anything political or controversial. For example, George upset that the store security guard had to stand for hours which is something that bothered me, too. Or seeing a food worker leaving a restroom without washing their hands. And I'm not the only one upset about Christmas commercialization so I "celebrate" Festivus.
About little things = mainly about nothing. It's one of the best written shows on the air and still very funny.
A show like SEINFELD or The OFFICE would never survive, especially The OFFICE. The very 1st episode of Season 1 would pretty much put every liberal on suicide watch over how Michael Scott offended his Staff. They'd be calling for it to be cancelled
